We selected ebook readers from different brands and mostly from Amazon because it is currently the leader in the ebook market with the name kindle. I hope this list will give to a better idea of which kindle is right for you based on your Budget.

Amazon Kindle Paper White 2021
If you can afford it, the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is the ideal place to start. Amazon recently updated this edition with a new 6.8-inch display, fewer bezels than the previous generation, water-resistant reading, and USB-C charging.
There is also a signature edition of this model that costs 3000 rupees extra and has no adverts, wireless charging (which I don’t think you need), and an auto-adjusting light that comes in useful while reading.
Overall, if you can afford it, the Amazon Kindle PaperWhite is the best option. Only select the signature edition if you require the auto-brightness adjustment technology.

- If you already have a 10th-generation Kindle, there is no need to upgrade. If you are starting from scratch, the Amazon Kindle Paper White 2021 model is the best option.

Kindle Scribe
Amazon announced its new Kindle Scribe. The new Kindle scribe comes with an inbuilt stylus that can be used to Markups, take weekly notes, and more. It also has a big 10.2-inch 300PPI glare-free paperwhite screen, a warm light that can be turned on or off, and a front light with 35 LEDs instead of the Kindle Oasis’s 25. It is not waterproof like the latest Paperwhite or the Oasis and more features.
The new Amazon Kindle subscription is not available in India as of now. Stay tuned to post as we update once it is available in India.
- The glare-free 10.2-inch 300PPI paperwhite screen with auto-adjusting light is made to feel and move like a pen on paper, making the experience natural and comfortable.

- If you read for half an hour every day, turn off the wireless, and set the light to 13, a single charge can last up to 12 weeks. For writing, a single charge can last up to three weeks if the wireless is turned off and the light setting is set to 13.

Kindle (10th Gen)
If you are on a tight budget, the Amazon basic Kindle is the best alternative. When compared to the paperback edition, it has downsides such as lower display quality, bigger bezels, micro USB, and more, but it is also a viable option for those looking to purchase a Kindle for under 7000 rupees in India.

Kindle Oasis (10th Gen)
If you want a premium option, Amazon has the Kindle Oasis, which is the premium version of the Kindle device that is available.
It has a different design from the Kindle Basic and Kindle Paper White. It’s completely made of metal. It features two physical control buttons as well as an auto-rotation feature that allows you to read Kindle in any direction.
Overall, I don’t think the Kindle Oasis is a viable choice unless you truly enjoy the look and absolutely require any of the features I described above. Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is the greatest choice, and you can also save a lot of money.

Kobo Aura
The Kobo Auro is the first non-Amazon brand pick, and it is currently available in India for 36,999/- rupees. This Kindle’s original pricing was roughly 10,000 rupees. If you’re seeking an alternative to the Kindle, the Kobo Auro is a terrific option, but only if you can obtain it for less than 12000 rupees.
- supports 14 different file formats natively like EPUB, EPUB3, PDF, MOBI, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF, and more.
- Kobo Aura Edition 2 has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and micro USB.
- Battery is solid
- 6-inch Carta E Ink touchscreen. It also has 4GB of onboard memory that can hold up to 3, 000 eBooks.

Kobo Aura H2O Edition 2
The Kobo Aura Edition 2 is an excellent substitute for the Kindle Paperwhite. It has a 6.8-inch display and 8GB of onboard memory, which can carry up to 3000 books.
It also has IPX8 certification, which allows it to stay in 3 meters of water for up to 60 minutes, something we Indians don’t need in any case. The Kobo H20 edition 2 is currently available at $179 at the time of writing (which is roughly 13000 Indian rupees).
Overall, the Kobo H20 is an excellent substitute for the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite model.

So there you have it: the greatest ebook readers in India. As you can see, each ebook reader has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. If you asked me to choose one, I would go with the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite edition and recommend that you do the same if you can afford it.
