ByteDance is in talks with Realince Jio for investment in TikTok

ByteDance, the owner of TikTok is talks with Realince India for investment in its short video platform TikTok. According to reports by TechCrunch India Chinese giant ByteDance is engaging in early discussions with Reliance Industries Limited, the parent firm of telecom giant Jio Platforms, for financially backing TikTok’s business in India in a move to potentially save the popular video app’s fate in its biggest market by users.

The two companies as reported began conversations late last month and have yet to reach a deal. Mukesh Ambani who is an ally of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi could help ByteDance allay concerns of the Indian government,This will help ByteDance to resume TikTok operations in India.

On the other side Microsoft is going to acquire TikTok in the U.S and it few other parts of the world including India.
