Instagram Stories is one of the more interesting features that has been added to Instagram in recent years. This feature allows users to post stories on their profiles that are only viewable for 24 hours. Now Instagram started rolling out new auto-generated captions to Instagram Stories. The new captions features can be turned on using a sticker, which will automatically transcribe speech in videos which comes really handy for the people looking to make Stories more inclusive to watch.
“You may not always be somewhere where you want your sound on, yet you still want to see what your friends and creators are posting,” the company said in a statement. “With captions, people can now express themselves in a more effortless yet still meaningful way, and their audience can watch and still engage.”
How to add auto-generated captions to Instagram Stories
The sticker will be available only in “English and English-speaking countries” for now but will eventually roll out to other languages and countries. Instagram also confirms new captions are also coming to Instagram reels.
To enable this new captions features you can head over to Instagram Stories and tap on Stickers and then caption stickers. The new captions were automatically generated. You can also edit individual words that weren’t transcribed accurately.
Users can adjust the style and color of the captions after they’re generated and also you can add stickers, highlight the text, and more.
