To make your Android hotspot faster you should switch between 2.4 and 5.0 GHz settings. A 2.4 GHz frequency is usually ideal for connections from a relatively far distance from your router. You’ll get a better range at longer distances, but at slower speeds. On the other hand, 5.0 GHz frequency, on the other hand, works best for short distances, giving you fast connection speeds when the device you’re working on is close to your smartphone. To switch between frequencies, Go to Settings>Hotspot and Tethering>Configure Mobile Hotspot > Show advanced options>Use 5Ghz band when available.
