Design and Display
Taking about the display first – Good to see that both the smartphones having full HD+ display and size of 6.53 inch. Redmi 9 Prime comes with old style rear display typically we seen on Redmi phones and Redmi 9 power comes with latest trend with Square camera layout on back. And also redmi managed to put 6,000 mah battery in Redmi 9 power with the same weight as Redmi 9 prime. Overall design is personal preference. You can choose any of them you want, but to guide you I will pick Redmi 9 power.
Performance
When it comes to performance , both the smartphones use different processors

They both run on same MIUI, so you might no find any difference between these two smartphone when it comes to performance unless you dig into deep analysis like we did. Camera
Redmi 9 power comes with slightly better camera performance than Redmi 9 prime. Photos on Redmi 9 power turned out to be in better details as it has 48 main rear camera. Video quality on both the smartphones is good and stable. On front both the camera having 8 MP camera. Overall Redmi 9 power cameras are better than Redmi 9 prime without any second thought.
