Send the following text message with your current mobile number – PORT followed by your 10-digit mobile number to TRAI‘s central number for mobile number portability – 1900 for example : ‘PORT 70xxxxxx71’

You can also withdraw your porting request if you change your mind. You need to send message within 24 hours of submitting porting request. To cancel the port request, SMS ‘CANCEL’ followed by a space and the ten-digit mobile number to 1900. After a while you will get message saying porting request is cancelled.
