Nokia to build the first ever cellular network on the moon

Nokia selected by nasa is going to build first Cellular network on moon.

Nokia to build the first ever cellular network on the moon. Nasa has choosen Nokia to build cellular network on moon that will be available on the moon by late 2022.

The company said the technology it’s using — the precursor to 5G — is “ideally suited” for providing the kind of wireless connection “that astronauts need.” reported by Bloomberg Quint.

As of now Internet connectivity in space is structured around a network of tracking and data relay satellites—the same fleet of communications satellites that NASA engineers on the ground use to communicate with astronauts on the International Space Station.

Astronauts first got Internet access five years ago, a move that NASA said would help improve their quality of life and help them feel less isolated in space.
