The new update for Google pay in India will ask users to opt-in for personalization within the app. Users in India can either opt-in or opt-in from Google collecting and using this data to provide a personalized experience.
Enable for better experience
Google will use various data such as user location, transaction history, and payment methods to provide more relevant offers and better recommendations.
Users can also log into account.google.com to view and delete individual transactions and activity records that they don’t want to be used for personalization.
Privacy concerns
Google also mentions Your personal information is never sold to anyone and your transaction history is not shared with any other Google product for targeting ads. If you want privacy in the first place you can opt-out from Personalisation.
