Twitter tip jar: How to accept or send Money on Twitter

This article explains how you can accept payments on Twitter, and how you can send money to others with the new Twitter tip jar feature

Twitter is started rolling out a new feature that lets its users accept and send payments on Twitter. The new Tip Jar feature is available for users on Both Android and iOS.

For now, a limited group of people around the world who use Twitter in English can add Tip Jar to their profile and accept tips. This group includes creators, journalists, experts, and Twitter says Soon, more people will be able to add Tip Jar to their profile.

How to set up Twitter tip jar

To set up your Tip jar, tap on your profile, and then click on edit profile. You will now see and new Tip jar feature at the bottom of your profile settings. Tap and toggle on allow tips. Now you’ll see a list of payment services ( Tip Jar supports a variety of payment options and links: Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, Paypal, and Venmo). You can select the list and add your account details to receive payments. As of now, Twitter doesn’t take a cut.

How to send a tip on Twitter tip jar

To send a tip on Twitter, tap on the user profile to send a tip, on left to the follow button you will now see and new dollar symbol. Tap on the dollar symbol and now you can choose the payment service. Now you will be redirected to the particular service and you can send money to them.

This is really a helpful feature for creators to earn money Directly from twitter instead of sharing payment links.
